Driver stainless steel coffee filter

I don't know if this company is related to Abid, but some Clever drippers also had markings of Driver in Taiwan. I ordered easily online and it took 11 days to arrive.

Most of the time the item sat at the US Customs, 8 days at the Customs! Other metal filters may have a serious competition. This filter was marketed as to filter out more fines than other metal filters. I did a side by side comparison with another metal filter, ground with Lido 1; I can say the Driver does what it claims. It also comes with an optional metal stand. The size is slightly smaller than the Kone, and fits in my old Bodum Kona just right. The metal stand can also be used with the Kone and regular 4 paper filters.

Box: It is composed of two layers. The inner layer is a stainless steel fabric-like liner, with an outer fine stainless steel strainer: Size comparison with the Kone: With metal stand on carafe: Final cup compared with another metal filter. The one on the right is from the Driver.

Quite impressive for a metal filter. Sponsored by Flair Espresso. This allows you to brew a full, rich, sediment-free pot of coffee. There are two primary shapes of coffee filter: basket or flat, and cone-shaped. Your coffee maker should tell you which filter shape works with that particular machine. Typically, cone-shaped filters are more expensive than their flat counterparts, but they also usually produce a fuller, richer, more evenly-brewed coffee as a result of their shape, the way the water flows through them, and the pore sizes.

This goes hand-in-hand with not only the size and shape aspects but also with your own preferences. You should keep in mind that not all coffee makers use the same size filters or even the same shape as the filter. This factor refers mostly to the disposable types of filters, so keep that in mind when reading this section. Even semi-reusable filters like the cloth and certain metal mesh filters, like the Anpro Reusable KCup filters on our list, may come in packs of multiples, in which case you should consider a few factors.

This includes frequency and intensity of use and regular cleaning and maintenance. Regardless of any other factors that you look for, you must keep the size of the filter in mind and relative to the size of your coffee maker. There are many types of permanent or reusable coffee filters, from the nylon sock designs to the more durable gold-tone filters that many feel enhances the overall flavor of the coffee being filtered through them.

A reusable metal coffee filter can last for up to seven years before needing to be replaced, assuming that you take care to properly clean it after each use. The nylon filters will usually last for approximately one year of use.

But be careful to be as gentle as possible while cleaning this filter type, as it can easily tear. The bleached filters are the easiest to use — simply load them up and watch them filter your coffee without any extra steps or effort. Unbleached filters need to be rinsed before use to avoid altering the flavor of your coffee and then can be composted or disposed of after use. Both nylon and metal mesh reusable filters can be rinsed before use and should be cleaned after every use to avoid any growth of mold or mildew that could ruin not only your filter but your entire coffee maker as well.

Some disposable coffee filters are completely biodegradable, others are not. A popular option is to compost your filters and the coffee grounds that were filtered through them. The best filters for composting are the unbleached coffee filters.

You should always make informed decisions in your life when it comes to purchasing a new product, and coffee filters are no different. Each of these filters has its own, unique features and benefits. We sincerely hope you enjoyed this list and the reviews of all of these wonderful, versatile coffee filters that you can add to your coffee-loving lifestyle. Your email address will not be published.
